Parking Garages 2.0

Can you imagine paying lots of money to go study abroad and then your professors take you to a parking garage? Well that’s what happened to us and it was amazing. We actually went to a few bike parking structures around the Netherlands. There are now so many bikes here that around transportation hubs such as train stations, there is a need for structures that can support thousands of bike parking spots. We saw one garage that had over 4,000 spaces for bikes and we saw another one by the Utrecht central train station that is still being built, but when it is completed, it will be the largest bike parking garage in the world with over 12,000 parking places.
